Healthy food is far more expensive than bad food, so some people simply can't afford better food for themselves. That's another thing my class spoke about... It's really unfortunate.

On a side note, I can't stand McDonalds.

This is why I whole-heartedly support the $15 minimum wage. The price raise of the food would atleast act as an incentive to start cooking for themselves. Would definitely help in the long run.

Healthy food being more expensive is true, but only because you can get microwave meals for less than a dollar. You can feed a whole family on processed food for less than what it costs to fill up your fuel tank. So yes healthy food is more expensive but only because s***ty food is so cheap. Shouldn't be an excuse though. I mean there's something wrong if you can't afford some vegetables, fish and pasta. But then that's probably easy for me to say since I live in a part of the world where food is much cheaper.

Healthy food is expensive to an extent. If you're just getting some fruit and veggies and fresh meat every week or so, it's not that bad. If you're like me and you're into heavy gym sessions, you end up spending like crazy to keep your body fueled and ready to lift.

I personally live in a six person household where three work, and I'm about to get a job. And we still have to cut corners a lot of the time on food simply because it's all a tad too much.

Sometimes I just say 'f*** it' and blow money on food without all the s*** anyway but that's cuz I've been getting put off pumping my body full of preservatives and s***.
